Executive coaching

A conversation, or a series of them, about something that is genuinely going on.

Usually it concerns something you cannot discuss entirely freely with the people around you: a decision you keep postponing, a working relationship that has gone stiff, your own position, or a pattern you only notice once it has repeated itself again.

There is no fixed programme. We start with what is going on now and see along the way what is needed. Sometimes a handful of conversations is enough; sometimes it runs for a year with long gaps in between.

The greater your responsibility, the fewer people you may have with whom you can genuinely think out loud.

Nils Vermeire, executive coach

Sparring

Not everyone wants a programme. For some of the people who call me, one conversation a quarter is enough: thinking out loud opposite someone who doesn't know the organisation from the inside and has nothing to gain from it either.

I test assumptions, explore scenarios and say what I notice. Coaching is not consulting in disguise, but I am not so doctrinaire that I will never say: I think you're looking at the wrong problem.

Fee

An introductory conversation and intake are always free of charge.

A standalone executive coaching conversation usually lasts 90 minutes and costs €375 excluding VAT.

For a coaching trajectory or facilitated peer reflection, we agree the format and fee clearly in advance, after the introductory conversation.

Are you a Dutch civil servant?

I don't take civil servants on as privately paid coaching clients through my own practice. Coaching is available through InterCoach, where I also work as a colleague coach.

The introduction and intake are free and without obligation. After that we agree on the number of conversations and the fee. Online or in person.
